“When do you expect your renovation to be complete?”

            I’m not sure, but in the last ten months or so, I think I have heard that question more than any other as I go throughout the community and discuss Green Acres Baptist Church.  And, usually, my answer has been, “Sometime in the summer of 2008”

            Thus far we have been very hesitant to provide any specific dates for finishing.  However, we are finally able to offer more specific details of when we will be finalizing the sanctuary renovation and reconstruction.  While I cannot say exactly what day the work will finish, or what Sunday we will actually begin meeting there, I can say that our goal and desire is to have our building dedication day and our 2008 Anniversary Celebration on the same day.  That day is September 14, 2008. 

            God continues to provide as the work progresses on the Sharing the Mission project.  After 20 months of giving, we are over $390,000.00 in giving.  If you recall, we had three year pledge commitments that began in July of 2006.  The commitments totaled approximately $12,500/month, or about $450,000.00.  The total project is about $3 million.  We were anticipating a total of about $2.5 million to finance by next year (depending on giving level).  Thus far, our giving has averaged out to about $17,731.00/month.  PRAISE THE LORD FOR THAT!!!
