Pastor Johnny was born in Jefferson City, Tennessee, lived much of his childhood in New Albany, Indiana, and moved to Warner Robins, Georgia in 1982. He spent much of his childhood and some teen years as a Roman Catholic. At age thirteen, he began attending Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins where he was eventually saved and baptized in June of 1988. Soon after he made a public declaration of God’s call on his life to full-time ministry.

In 1991 Pastor Johnny married his wife Elissa. They have three children Savannah, Andrew and Sarah Elisabeth. In April of 2005 Pastor Johnny began his ministry at Green Acres as Senior pastor.

He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Public Recreation. He then completed his Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned his Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice University in Atlanta, Georgia.

On his vision for Green Acres, Pastor Johnny says, “I believe God has a special work to do in and through Green Acres Baptist Church. We do not want to be behind Him or ahead of Him. We simply want to be in step with Him.”

Pastor Mike was born in Norfolk, Virginia and moved to Greensboro, N.C. and lived there until 1993. Pastor Mike grew up in a good but unchurched home and in his teenage years he began to experiment with drugs, alcohol and other things that teenagers were doing. This behavior led to trouble with the law and at age 17 Mike was ordered to serve prison time.

It was in prison where the Holy Spirit brought conviction and Pastor Mike trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior. In 1981 the Lord called him into full time ministry.

Pastor Mike married Jane in 1979. Mike and Jane have three daughters: Amy, Lindsay, and Courtney and three grandchildren: Thomas, Brandon, Callie, and Caiden. In June 1993 Mike began serving as Associate Pastor at GABC.

Pastor Mike has been a student of God’s word since the day he was saved. His desire is to help others develop a passion for God through the study of and service to the word of God.

Pastor Kenny is a native of Crawford County Georgia. His love of music began at an early age. He was saved at the age of 8, and received his call to ministry at age 14. Kenny graduated from high school with honors and was awarded a Georgia Baptist Student Merit Scholarship to attend Brewton-Parker College, where he earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Voice and his Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 1996. Kenny earned his Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Luther Rice University & Seminary in 2008, and is currently working on an Master of Divinity degree. In 2008, he was honored with a Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges Award from Luther Rice University & Seminary.

Prior to coming to Green Acres, Kenny served as Minister of Music and Minister of Youth both in bi-vocational and interim capacities. In addition to ministry, Kenny has taught public school music and chorus. In 1998, Kenny was named the Sallie Mae New Teacher of the Year for the Dublin City School System.

Kenny and his wife Misty have been married since 1996, and they have two children – Alannah, who was born in 2002 and Walker, who was born in 2007. Misty is GABC’s Elementary Choir Director, works with our Upward Ministry and is on our Women’s Ministry Committee. During the week, she teaches 3 yr. olds at Central Baptist of Warner Robins Sonshine Preschool.
